3 Crazy and Whacky Wedding Ideas

Although most women from a very young age have a very specific idea of the kind of wedding they want, that is enhanced and tweaked as they get older; who says it should always follow the same theme of white wedding dress in a country estate or church?  No-one   and if you are not keen on the idea of having a beautiful, but bog standard wedding, take a look at some of the crazier and wackier themes brides and grooms have been adopting for their big days.

Superheroes and Heroines

It’s after the wedding day that you and your significant other get down to spending the rest of your lives together.  The wedding day is a one-off event, and one that we feel, should be embraced as such.  A great idea for a wedding theme would be Superheroes.  Obviously, the more you commit to the idea, the crazier things will get.  Wearing capes as part of your wedding outfits could be the simplest way, but, budget allowing, you could use special effects to enable you to fly into the hall to your spouse and you could hire a copy of a superhero’s vehicle, such as the batmobile.

Prepare To Walk the Plank

Many people will admit that the thought of marriage is like walking a metaphorical plank.  If pirates are your thing though, you could take the metaphor and make it real by having a pirate themed wedding.   You could hire a Captain Jack lookalike to officiate at your wedding and fly a Jolly Roger on top of the wedding venue.  Depending on how in-depth you want to take it, you could also design the invites and direction information for your guests into a treasure map, and insist that your guests dress up as pirates and wenches.

Married For Life (And Death)

Zombies are very popular at the moment, with zombie films making a comeback to the big screen and The Walking Dead TV series being a runaway ratings winner.  Why not incorporate your love of the living dead by making that your theme for your wedding?   You and the rest of your wedding party could adorn tattered, torn and very bloody dresses and suits and you could employ the services of a professional makeup artist to give your face and all visible skin a real zombie look complete with open scars, wounds and lots of fake blood!

As you can see by the 3 suggestions above, there is no limit to the type of themes you can base your wedding around.  Spend a good bit of time with your significant other and really think about what you want for a wedding.  The most important thing to remember is that it’s your big day and as long as you are both happy with the style, design and theme of the day, then it should be a blast.  Many people decide to have their wedding abroad and Bell City in Melbourne is a truly once-in-a-lifetime setting for one of the biggest and most important days of your life.
