1. Keep Track of Your Progress

By tracking your progress in a fitness journal, or even on some kind of chart, you’ll help yourself to stay motivated. Set goals, note down how you feel, what changes you’re seeing, and anything else you can think of. When you look back in a few months, you won’t believe how far you’ve come!

2. Do The Skipping Rope Challenge

For an amazing cardio workout, all you need is a skipping rope. The double turn maneuver is one of the most difficult things to do with a skipping rope, but simply by practicing it you’ll get much fitter. Practice by doing a regular jump for a few minutes, and then begin to jump twice as high while swinging the rope twice as fast so it passes under your feet twice before you jump again. You must have patience, but it’s a great workout to shape up!

3. Take a Break

You don’t have to be 100% on plan to get results. Sticking to a workout and eating regime is all about consistency, but you’ll be less inclined to be consistent if you tell yourself you can’t have things. Commit to working out and eating well 80% of the time, while allowing yourself a little break 20% of the time. That should be just enough to get great results!

4. Eat Your Carbs

Your body needs carbs, as it uses them for energy. Make sure you get your carbs in after a workout for the best results, with a serving of gluten free genius bread, sweet potatoes, brown rice, or a similar complex carbohydrate.

5. Make Running More Effective

You can make your running more effective in a number of ways. One way is to try wall sits while you run to break it up a bit; lean up the wall at a 90 degree angle as if you are sitting on a chair, and hold for as long as possible to work all of the muscles in your legs. You can also try alternating fast walking with sprinting, as it’s much more effective than a long run at one steady pace.

6. Make Time for Extras

Give yourself extra time during the day so that you can do more things to get your heart pumping; take the stairs instead of the elevator, clean your car instead of paying somebody else to do it – whatever it takes to get you more active!

7. Walk With Weights

You can do this on a treadmill or out in the open, whatever you prefer. By taking 5 pound dumbbells with you on a fast walk, you can do various exercises as you go. Try bicep curls, tricep extensions, side laterals, and shoulder presses!
