Perfect skin. It’s something that all women dream of having. Skin free of wrinkles, blemishes, dark circles, and other imperfections. Can it be made a reality? The short answer is yes. You’ll need to put in some time and effort, but perfect skin can belong to anybody. Read on to learn how in our perfect skin handbook:
Never, Ever Leave Your Makeup On
It can be so easy just to hop into your warm bed at night without taking a second thought for the poor skin on your face. You shouldn’t ever leave your makeup on at night for a number of reasons. Not only will it rub off onto your pillow, which will clog your face up at a later date, it’ll also sink into your skin and clog up your pores. You’ll more than likely wake up in the morning with spots and imperfections. At least use a couple of makeup wipes to cleanse your skin. Cleansing with a facial wash is your best bet though!
Wear Light Makeup Where Possible
Instead of clogging your face up with layer upon layer of foundation, wear light makeup where you can. Instead of wearing a full coverage foundation each day, go for a light tinted moisturiser instead. If you choose one with an SPF, your skin will be protected from the sun and look radiant at the same time.
Wear Makeup That Suits Your Skin Type
When you do decide to wear makeup, make sure you’re wearing makeup that suits your skin type. If you don’t, your skin could end up looking too dry or too greasy. If you’re unsure of what you should be wearing on your face, always ask a consultant on a beauty counter for help.
Use Products That Suit Your Skin Type
You should use skincare products that suit your skin type too. Cleansers, toners, and moisturisers are made for all skin types and needs. Don’t just pick up any old product off the shelf. Make sure it’s going to do what you need it to do first. Read the packaging and find out who it’s recommended for. Companies like Alpha H cosmetics always describe who their products are best for on the packaging. You can also read reviews online to see if it does the trick.
Drink and Eat Right
You can put as many products as you like on your skin, but if you aren’t drinking or eating right, it’s useless! You should be drinking at least 2 litres of water per day, and perhaps a couple of mugs of green tea too. When it comes to eating, make sure you’re getting lots of vegetables in along with a few portions of fruit. Try to only eat natural foods.
Change Pillowcases Regularly
As mentioned before, your pillowcases can get clogged up with all kinds of gunk if you use them for too long. Change them regularly to keep breakouts at bay.
Exfoliate once per week with a gentle scrub to get rid of dead skin cells. This will make your skin glow. You could even treat yourself to a facial at a salon every so often!
If you still find yourself with troublesome skin after using these tips for a while, you may want to see a doctor. Thanks for reading!
