Christmas is one of those times of year where everybody wants to look spectacular. You might get an invitation to a party at the drop of a hat, and have lots planned in advance to boot. If this is the case, you can’t afford to look anything less than amazing. You want to turn heads! This post will give you some helpful tips, so you can look and feel great over Christmas.
Give Yourself a Healthy Glow
Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean you should become as pale as the moon. This can make some people look unhealthy. If you like to embrace your natural colour, then by all means do so. However, you’ll find you look a little healthier if you give yourself a glow. You can do this by using a light false tan, bronzer, and highlighter. You’ll look radiant!
Take Care of Your Nails
Nobody wants nasty looking nails, especially not around Christmas. You could treat yourself to a manicure/pedicure at a salon, or give yourself one at home if you’re strapped for cash. Simply file your nails so they are the same length and shape, then push back your cuticles. You can then buff them to a high shine if you like before applying polish.
Practice Different Makeup Techniques
Christmas is a really fun time of year to try out different makeup looks. If you feel you’re no good with makeup, you could go for a professional makeup lesson beforehand, or watch some Youtube tutorials. Once you’ve got the basics down, you can experiment with different colours and products on your own.
Get a Haircut
Don’t let split ends be your downfall this Christmas. Get a haircut, at least. I like to have my hair cut and coloured before the festivities begin, but if you won’t have it coloured make sure you just have it cut. It’ll look much healthier, bouncier, and nicer. Trust me!
Accessorise
You must accessorise if you plan on turning heads on a night out. Look at what you’re wearing before deciding what kind of jewellery it needs. You’re always safe with a pair of clip on earrings, but work out whether you need some bracelets, rings, or necklaces too. Less is more when it comes to jewellery, so don’t just pile it on mindlessly.
Try Not to Overindulge Too Soon
As soon as December rolls around it can be easy to start stuffing your face full of chocolate and mince pies. Try not to overindulge too soon. This isn’t very good for your health or your waistline. We’ll all put a few pounds on over the festive season, but you don’t want to do it too soon or put on too much. Try to limit your treats.
Invest in Shaping Underwear
Shaping underwear can be a lifesaver, especially if you have a particularly tight dress or pair of jeans to wear. You’ll look as if you’ve completed a bootcamp in time for Christmas!
Use these tips and you’re bound to turn heads. The only other thing you need to bring to the table is confidence!
