5 Ways To Keep Your Feet Looking Fabulous All Summer

While, during the colder months, you can hide your feet away in a cozy pair of boots, during the summer your feet are on display. With our feet on display, it’s only natural that we want them to look fabulous.

When the weather’s warm, however, it can be tricky to keep your feet looking their best. Exposure to too much sun and hot surfaces like sand can leave your poor feet dry, rough and in generally bad condition.

However, there are plenty of ways you can keep your feet looking fabulous all summer long, all you need to do is spend a little time on them. To help you keep your footsies in tip, top condition, we have put together five useful pointers, below:

  1. Exfoliate

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that exfoliation is only for the face, your feet need exfoliating too. During the warmer summer weather, you should aim to exfoliate your feet at least once a week to remove any dry skin cells.

The best way to exfoliate your feet is by using an exfoliating scrub or an exfoliation stone. If you suffer from dry skin all over your feet, using a moisturizing exfoliating scrub is ideal.

  1. Don’t soak your feet

You may not realize it, but soaking your feet can cause them to become dehydrated. So avoid soaking your feet, instead cleanse them with a sugar scrub and then wipe clean with a damp towel.

  1. Apply moisturiser

You have probably noticed that your heels are the driest part of your foot; that’s because they are prone to being overused. The heel of your foot also has thicker skin on it than the rest of the foot, and so it’s much harder to exfoliate and moisturise properly.

After each time, you take a shower, apply a rich moisturiser or oil to your feet to seal in the moisture, they have soaked up. For even softer skin, apply a moisturiser or oil before going to bed.

  1. Take care of your nails

As well as taking care of the skin on your foot, it’s just as important to take care of the nails. The best way to keep your nails in good shape is to check that they are healthy on a regular basis, especially, during the warmer months.

Many people don’t even realize that they have nail fungus; that’s why it’s so important to check your feet regularly. Nail fungus can rapidly deteriorate the health of your nails and feet, so it’s important to look out for it.

If you notice that your nails have nail fungus, get them treated immediately. Otherwise, you could spread the fungus to other people, as well as the nails on your hands. There are plenty of treatment options available, so don’t panic. One of the best treatments is ZetaClear; you can check out our ZetaClear review here.

  1. Let your feet breathe

One of the main causes of problems with the feet comes from not giving your feet time to breathe. During the warmer months, aim to wear shoes that allow your feet to breathe, instead of wearing shoes that cover your toes.

In terms of nails, if you wear nail polish on your toes, take a break once a month. It’s important that as well as letting your feet breathe, that you also let your nails breathe.

To ensure that your feet look and feel good all summer long, all you need to do is follow these simple tips.
