Unlike your typical summer holiday to some faraway island paradise, a winter holiday is entirely different affair. The clothes, shoes and other items that you will need to take with you are very different to your normal holiday packing. To ensure you don’t forget any of the essentials, be sure to add these vital items to your packing list.

Warm coat
So that your coat does not take up room in your suitcase, wear it whilst you travel. Plus, there is nothing worse than arriving in a cold country and being unable to access you coat because it’s safely zipped away in your luggage. A thick winter coat will help you to deal with the cold whilst you enjoy exploring the snowy streets of your resort.
Woolen jumpers
Wool is the best material for keeping you well insulated from cold, the added bonus being that it just so happens that knitted jumpers are on trend this season – so make the most of it. Pack at least three chunky knit jumpers, as well as various thinner layers to help moderate your body’s temperature. Many high street stores will have various selections of knitted jumpers, as will online retailers.
Leggings
Although you may not usually wear leggings, packing just jeans is a recipe for disaster, especially with how long it can take a pair of jeans to dry. Part of the fun of your winter holiday is the snow, so it’s best to assume that you will, at some point, get a little wet whilst playing in it. Take enough pairs of leggings so that you can double them up to help you keep warm and wear them under different outfits. Pair all leggings and trousers with thick, thermal socks and waterproof boots. You can visit JustFab for a wide variety of comfortable winter boots. This will help to keep your feet dry and warm. Fleecy thermal socks are great for adding that extra layer of warmth to your feet.
Other accessories
To help you stay warm, a woolen hat, a thick scarf and a pair of waterproof gloves are all essential. The air in colder climates is often sharp and bitter, so the more prepared and wrapped up you are, the more you will be able to enjoy your holiday. As well as your thick winter coat, ensure that you also pack a warm waterproof coat. This is essential if you are planning on skiing whilst you are on holiday.
To keep your skin healthy, make sure to pack a good quality, rich moisturiser, facial scrub and a moisturising lip balm. The cold weather can play havoc with your skin, so whilst you are away you may need to up your moistening habits, to help keep your skin in good condition. It is also advisable to take a medium level sun cream spray with you, as many mountain resorts see a lot of sun, despite the cold weather.
Although it is important to ensure you have everything that you need, don’t over pack otherwise you may incur some expensive luggage bills.
